Chem-Dry Animal-Rescue Partnerships Boost Brand Engagement

Community visibility builds current customer loyalty while also providing opportunities to showcase products and services to new clients

Chem-Dry has continued expanding its Cleaning for The PAWS campaign throughout 2018, growing brand awareness and visibility across the United States and Canada.

The campaign partners the national Chem-Dry cleaning brand, alongside local Chem-Dry franchise owners, with Best Friends Animal Society in order to help shelter animals find forever homes through pet adoption.

Program provides effective way to promote services

The partnership began in 2017, and over 2018 expanded into Canada. It raised funds and awareness all year through various local activities, and also rolled out two major, seasonal campaigns around pet-related observances and events. In Canada, Chem-Dry partnered with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals International to establish a Chem-Dry Canada Shelter Support Fund alongside a goal to raise at least $5,000 for up to 10 shelter and rescue organizations.

“These programs have amazing benefits, including the opportunity for Chem-Dry cleaning franchise owners to really raise their profile in the communities they serve,” says Doug Smith, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “Pet owners are natural Chem-Dry customers, and when they learn about what we offer, particularly our P.U.R.T. pet stain and odor removal system, they are very eager to have us visit their homes.”

Local events generate social media and press visibility

Chem-Dry cleaning franchise owners across the United States and Canada have maximized the opportunity, appearing at shelter and adoption events such as Jacksonville, Florida’s Strut Your Mutt event. This kind of outreach is valuable for brand awareness, Smith says.

“Chem-Dry franchise owners can advertise in many different ways and find success, and this kind of public visibility only builds on that,” he says. “Pet owners are very, very loyal to the businesses they feel support them, and Chem-Dry is a very good brand for them to learn about, and then use not just for carpet cleaning, but to achieve a healthy home.”
