We benefit tremendously from their expertise, because they’re the ones out there all day, every day, talking to customers and seeing what the needs are.”

“We have built a remarkable library of remote training and webinar opportunities,” Doug says. “We know that busy franchise owners can’t always carve out the time to attend a live training, or do so on a 9-to-5 schedule, so we work to make learning available to them when they have the time to sit down and take advantage of it.”
That said, there’s no shortage of hands-on education and training. Perhaps the biggest of these is the annual convention, where Chem-Dry franchise owners meet and compare notes, see what’s working and why and even have a little fun.
“The convention has a lot of seminars and workshops, where we introduce everything from new products to innovative ideas on sales and marketing,” Doug says. “But it’s also where these owners huddle up in corners and see who’s doing better with granite renewal, or leather restoration, and pick each other’s brains. It’s a learning vacation, sure, but it’s also a lot of fun.”
