Chem-Dry Annual Convention Announces Dynamite Speaker Roster

From dynamic business practices to practical ways to improve and expand a loyal customer base, franchise owners will find much to engage them

The annual Chem-Dry convention for its franchise owners is a must-attend event every year, and 2017 will be no different. Set for January 23-26 in Nashville, it’s going to be four days of nonstop learning for attendees, who will leave energized and ready to grow and expand their businesses.

“Our theme this year is ‘Leading the Way Together,’ which is about building on our proud history of innovation and industry leadership,” says Doug Smith, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development. “We’re going to identify how we can further distance ourselves from the competition, and how we can all work together in many ways to not only differentiate from other businesses in our space, but also to grow our market share.”

Dynamic speakers will energize attendees

Chem-Dry franchise owners always say that the keynote speakers are a big reason why they attend year after year. That’s a tough bar to clear every 12 months, but Chem-Dry has done so again for 2017.

“Our first day keynote speaker is Alison Levine, who was captain of the first American All-Women’s Team to summit Mount Everest,” Doug says. “She is a world-renowned speaker who has scaled the highest peak on every continent. She’ll share with our network how she’s led teams to overcome adversity and reach new peaks and how these same principles can be applied to help each franchisee take their business to new heights.”

Alison will be followed by a true entrepreneur and business shark, Kevin Harrington, on the second day of the convention.

“While Kevin has a long and successful career as an entrepreneur, he’s best known as one of the original Sharks on ABC’s hit show, Shark Tank,” Doug says. “Kevin Harrington is an internationally acclaimed speaker, coach and celebrity entrepreneur. He’s the guy who really invented the infomercial and has launched more than 500 products and businesses, generating more than $5 billion in sales worldwide.”

His broader successes haven’t meant that Kevin has forgotten what it’s like to be a small-business owner and entrepreneur, however.

“The true heart of Kevin’s career, though, has been helping people realize their business potential through his powerful message of perseverance and initiative,” Doug continues. “We’re thrilled to have Kevin bring the knowldege he’s gained helping business owners succeed. We know he will help our franchise owners realize their personal and professional  dreams!”  

Chem-Dry, N-Hance owners to meet up

In another first, the convention will mark the first time that Chem-Dry and N-Hance franchise owners will attend a joint event. “They will have separate breakout sessions to deal with specifics around their particular franchises, but they will also come together for the keynote speakers and other activities around good business practices that cross brand barriers”, Doug says.

“What we wanted to do this year was literally bring the best of both worlds together, and do it in our backyard,” he says. “Every day will be full of speakers, sessions and networking events that will appeal to every Chem-Dry cleaning franchise owner, as well as our N-Hance wood renewal franchise owners. We’re really excited about the opportunity for all these folks to meet each other and find some common synergies that will help them grow their businesses separately and also as partners in markets where they both have a strong foothold.”
