Marketing and Executive

Ed Quinlan, President of Chem-Dry
Ed oversees business support services for Chem-Dry’s franchisees, including training and business coaching programs designed to improve performance and the implementation of software improvements designed to make business easier and more profitable.

Abby Baker, VP, Marketing

Abby has over 21 years of marketing experience. Her strengths lie in developing brand strategies for long-term growth and consumer awareness, exploiting marketing channels, and supporting product launches and new strategic investments. Her experience includes providing marketing support for several franchise, co-op and retail-based brands. Wherever she’s gone, Abby has increased ROI using data-driven marketing and market research, growing brand awareness with PR and brand integration.

Franchise Development

Douglas Smith, Senior Vice President of Franchise Development
Doug comes to HRI most recently from the Affinion Group, where he was Senior Vice President of Business Development in their Financial Services division. He started his career with Perk Development Corporation, who at the time was the largest franchisee of Perkins Family Restaurants, as well as both Chilis and Bobby Rubinos locations throughout the Northeast. He relocated to Atlanta, Georgia, where he went to work for The Cheesecake Factory Corporation. Following that, he worked at Edward Don and Company, working closely with several corporate, independent and franchise restaurant operations throughout the Southeast.

D’Wayne Tanner SVP, Franchise Development

D’Wayne has a deep background in franchising, with over 25 years in the industry, having worked with national brands such as Taco Bell, Wendy’s, Ruby Tuesday and Focus Brands (Carvel, Cinnabon, Schlotzsky’s and Moe’s Southwest Grill). In addition, he has his share of entrepreneurial experiences including partnering in the operation of a fundraising coupon book, called City Saver, in several cities in the Southeast.

Training and Support

Kati Buckland, New Franchise Success Support Manager
Kati was a successful Chem-Dry Franchise Owner for 22 years. Her franchise was a highly awarded, noted as being top performing and engaged with the network. She served on the Chem-Dry Franchise Advisory Council and took her leadership opportunity to assist franchise owners across the world to implement best practices and create systems for performance and accountability. Kati brings her experience and her passion for the Chem-Dry brand and its owners to the team to guide franchisees as they begin their business journey.
